All of the artist's paintings are created using oil paint with a unique authorial technique that is evident throughout Savva's work, employing brushes and a palette knife. Often, the artist used the palette knife to add a certain architectural quality to details and "drew" with it. In some works, on the contrary, the background was created with strokes of the palette knife, and the central detail was meticulously outlined with a brush. It is interesting to note that the author often uses everyday objects (sponges, rags, and other materials) in creating his paintings, giving a distinctive texture to the details of the works. In addition to oil paint, liquid metal leaf and acrylic were occasionally added to the technique.
